May 2023 State & AP Testing

Over the first couple weeks in May, students at Lakeland and Harrison will be participating in numerous state and AP exams. Please make sure your student arrives at school on time, every day. We recommend that students testing are well-rested, eat breakfast, and wear layered clothing in case the testing room is cold. Students are not allowed to have their cell phones or any electronic devices during testing and we cannot call students out of class during testing.

State Testing - May 2, 3, 9, & 10

Harrison and Lakeland will be on an alternate schedule for all four of these testing dates. Click here to view the alternate schedule.

Update to our testing schedule: On Tuesday, May 9, students will go to periods 5, 1, & 2 after testing is finished. On Wednesday, May 10, students will conclude testing and then attend periods 5, 3, & 4.

These are the dates for the scheduled state tests:

  • May 2 - FAST Reading - ALL Grade 9 & 10 students

  • May 3 - Algebra & Geometry EOCs

  • May 9 - Biology 1 EOC

  • May 10 - U.S. History EOC AND Florida Civics Literacy

Students testing on the above days should report directly to testing when the first period bell rings. Students who are on campus but not testing on these days should report to the Harrison Theatre.

Please avoid unnecessary check-in/check-outs over the next two weeks.

AP Testing

AP Testing will take place May 1-5 and May 8-12.

  • Each exam has a specific date and time during which it must be given. Your student should have this info.

  • Students should report to their testing location 30 minutes prior to the test start time to complete pre-administration activities.

  • Students will be marked "school business" for the entire school day.

  • Students scheduled for AP testing and state testing at the same time should go to the AP test and will be scheduled later to make up the missed state exam.
