Schedule for State Testing

During four days in May, Harrison and Lakeland will be on a modified schedule to conduct state testing.

  • On May 1 & 2, students in 9th and 10th grade will take the FSA English Language Arts (ELA) exam. 11th and 12th grade students were given pre-excused absence forms for those two days in order to make college visits and/or participate in job-shadowing experiences.

  • On May 8 & 9, students in Algebra 1 and Geometry will take the End-of-Course (EOC) exam. Students who are not testing were given pre-excused absence forms for those two days in order to make college visits and/or participate in job-shadowing experiences.

The modified schedule is being utilized to minimize the number of days needed to conduct the required state testing. You can view the modified schedule for these four days by clicking here.

A couple of points/reminders in regard to the upcoming testing schedule:

  • School hours are still 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. We will follow our normal check-in/check-out procedures for students who arrive late or need to leave early.

  • Parents are requested to only check students in/out if necessary. Please know that if you do come to check your child out early, it may take longer than usual due to high demand.

  • Per district policy, students are not allowed to be checked out to leave campus with other students.

  • Per district policy, we are only allowed to check students out to individuals listed as an emergency contact with school pick-up allowed.

U.S. History/Biology EOC

  • We will be on a normal schedule for these tests and students will be called out of their first period class on the day they are scheduled to test.

  • Students who are enrolled in U.S. History will take their EOC exam on either May 15 or 16.

  • Students who are enrolled in Biology 1 will take their EOC exam on either May 20 or 21.

AP Testing

  • AP Testing will take place May 6-10 and May 13-17. Each exam has a specific date and time during which it must be given.

  • Students should report to their testing location 30 minutes prior to the test start time to complete pre-administration activities.

  • Students will be marked "school business" for the entire school day.

  • There are no "make-ups" for these tests, so it is important that students are present the day of the exam.
